To have your document translated by a professional but for a lower price, we offer translation without revision. This means that the same expert translators work on your text as with an all-in translation; the only difference is that the translation is not revised by a second translator.
The same language professionals for a lower price
Just like with an all-in translation, Multitaal selects the most suitable professional for the job from its own network of exclusively native-speaker translators. From hundreds of translators, we choose the most suitable person for your project on the basis of specialization, experience, skills, availability and budget.
Many of our translators are in-country native speakers: translators who live in their country of origin. This group is preferable for most translations, because of their connection with the living language and the culture. But sometimes it’s better to go with a translator who lives in the Netherlands, such as when translating government texts specifically for non-Dutch speakers in the Netherlands.
What will I miss if I choose this option? And what is the advantage?
As careful as they may be, there’s always the possibility that our translators may not be familiar with a certain expression in the source text. Or they could make a typing error that goes undetected during the spelling check. A reviser (a second translator with at least near-native fluency) solves these problems by making an extra check. If you choose translation without revision, that extra check will not be made. The advantage is that the translation will cost less.
‘Multitaal is my go-to place for English and German translations. They deliver the right quality, work accurately and are always willing to brainstorm.’
What kinds of documents are suitable for this option?
Translation without revision can be a good option for company-internal documents, such as those used mainly for input or discussion. Or if you need a general picture of how a competitor markets their product. This option is less suitable for texts used to market a product or service, in which case we always recommend an all-in translation.
